July at PUBLIC: Party, Pictures, Art, and Carmageddon

This is a big month for us with a couple special events and numerous special deals.   We’re doing everything we can to encourage you to enjoy the summer season on a bike.

Saturday July 9th in San Francisco
First, we’re having our One-Year Anniversary Party at our 123 South Park Headquarters this Saturday, July 9 from 11am-3pm.  We’ll remove on-street car parking around our store to accommodate table, chairs, and bikes to hang out. We’ll offer free drinks and snacks, while our friends from American Grilled Cheese Kitchen and Monet’s Cupcakes will sell lunch.  Sale items will be featured for our anniversary party. There will be fun contests with some great prizes. Please RSVP for yourself, friends, and the sun.

Anniversary PHOTO Contest
We’ve already received great entries for our Anniversary Photo Contest where we are giving away weekend stays at hotels that provide PUBLIC bikes for their guests.  Learn more about out Photo Contest. The deadline for entries is July 31st.  Examples of the categories we would to fill are shown below.

Saturday July 16th in Los Angeles. Frank Lloyd Gallery and Carmageddon!

A unique art show opens this week in Santa Monica at the Frank Lloyd Gallery.  Our founder, Rob Forbes, was invited to curate a selection of contemporary ceramics. Rob was a potter for ten years and stays connected to this community. A full write up of the show is here on the Studio Forbes website.
Much of the nearby San Diego freeway will be closed during this weekend and the LA panic is being billed as Carmageddon. We think this is a fitting event to take place during the show, and Rob will be riding his bike to the event. If you happen to be in the Los Angeles area during the opening on July 16th please come by and preferably on a bike.

Hello! This post couldn’t be written any better! Reading through this post reminds me of my good old room mate! He always kept chatting about this. I will forward this page to him. Fairly certain he will have a good read. Thank you for sharing!
