Re: Lauren Gerry
Oh, to be young and impetuous again, but better to be a safe and courteous rider and live to a ripe old age.
Riding with the "wind blowing through their hair" sounds very romantic, but also quite unsafe. I know it might not be in style, however riding with a helmet would be much safer. Also "riding with a pack of friends" and impeding traffic only antagonizes vehicle drivers and does not advance the popularity of riders, and finally, "jumping from party to party" suggests the ingestion of alcohol or other mind altering substances that would impair ones judgment in a way that could lead to a biking accident.
I know, we don't think accidents can happen to us, especially when we are young, but they unfortunately do. More emphasis on safety and courtesy would enhance everyones appreciation of riding and riders.
